Station Cable and Communications Outlet Rates
Station cable can provide connectivity for one to six 4-pair jacks on each communications outlet in a room. Either a voice or data device can be plugged into each jack. The cable/line to each jack must be configured for the type of device to be connected. See Line Installation/Activation Rates. Conduit must also be in place before station cable can be installed. (If applicable, see Procedure for the Procurement of Conduit for Routine Orders or Procedure for the Procurement of Conduit for Projects.)
Installing up to ten station cables is a routine order. Use the Online Service Center (OSC) for estimating and placing routine orders.
When ordering, bundle as many of these types of jobs into one order as you can; that way, there is only one Service Order Charge—and there may be less overall travel and set-up time required.
Service for installing more than ten station cables is a coordinated request. A coordinated request is handled by an ITCom Project Manager.
